Science and Technology Challenge 2006

On Thursday 13th April 2006 we held our Science and Technology Evening.

The task was to imagine the table is an aeroplane which has made a crash landing. The passenger (a Playmobile man) has to escape form the buring plane by sliding down an emergency shute - which you have to make - into the boat on the floor.

However Mr Playmobile is very delicate and has to descend as slowly as possible to prevent him from hurting himself.

The winner was the team whose playmobile man came down the shute into the boat most slowly as timed by the stop watch.

Each team had:

1 piece of white card
1 sheet of newspaper
1 piece of red card
1 metre of duck tape, cellotape and masking tape.
